We consider Pre-Algebra to be a summation of the essentials of K-7th grade mathematics.

Thus, Pre-Algebra should

     (a) prepare students for future mathematics and - perhaps more importantly -

     (b) reinforce those skills that will enable them to effectively use mathematics in their everyday lives.
